<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Today I’ve received a number of calls and emails (and even a LinkedIn message) from other listserv members about a phishing scam impersonating my email address, encouraging recipients
to open a link to a PandaDoc document. The recipients seem to be trademark attorneys, and several have mentioned that they’re members of the Oppedahl trademark listserv, which is causing me to reach out to everyone – do NOT open these documents.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The emails are coming from an email address that misspells my firm name as BrenanLawGroup (missing an n in my name). There seem to be two emails that are going out in tandem
– one from PandaDoc.net (note the .net, not .com), and then a follow up email coming from the misspelled version of my firm name, both instructing the recipient to open an attached document. Clever ploy!

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Two people mentioned to me that they responded to the email, requesting more information. They received replies telling them it’s not a scam, just open the document. Haha.
Of course, I can’t see who has received these emails, or any of the ensuing correspondence, since they are not coming from me, but from a misspelled version of my firm name.
