<p class="MsoNormal">I just got a call from the Spoof Spammer, claiming to be from the "trademark verification unit," and decided to engage a bit. This group claimed that we had to pay the Section 8 & 15 fee so that our trademark is valid for 14 years. AND
they take Visa and Mastercard and would have given us a discount on that fee, only charging $95 now. They kindly walked me through the USPTO website to point me to the fees and recited all kinds of information from the application. None made much sense to
me, but it was cumbersome enough that it could work with inexperienced or pro se applicants. <o:p></o:p></p>
