<p>If I have followed this string, this would be the evening of
Tuesday, May 21. I am not sure exactly what "happy hour" means to
this venue. In the past we have done our listserv receptions in
various time slots such as 5-7 PM or 6-8 PM. <br>

<p>There is a lot to be said for grabbing this opportunity while it
remains available. Lots of the good venues and time slots are
probably taken by now.</p>
<p>Basically we pay in advance for $4000 worth of food and
beverages. Plus a $800 tip. And if we do not manage to spend the
full $4000, we have to pay that much anyway. Which is to be
expected. In past events people have arrived and departed at
various times. Typically over the course of an evening we see 75
people come and go. At any given instant the max number of people
in the room is typically 40-50.</p>
<p>The venue people surely do not care whether we do or do not
actually run 75 people through the room, so long as we cough up
the $4800.<br>
</p>
<p>I bet we could find sponsorship contributions within the listserv
to cover a $4800 event.</p>
<p>I pledge $1000 toward the event. I wonder if we have consensus
on this?</p>

If you are interested in reserving the
room, we require a $2000 deposit to hold
the date for you. It is non-refundable in
the event of cancellation. It will be
returned to you once your minimums are
reached on the date of the event, or can
be applied to your tab, as needed.
Deposits must be received at least 7 days
before the planned event day. Exceptions
to this rule can be made but must be
approved by management to ensure staffing
can be arranged on short notice. Minimums
must be met by actual consumption on
premises during the hours allowed for the
event. That means Gift Cards or "To Go"
food orders are not allowed as a way to
fulfill the minimum spend guarantee. <br>

5) What is your standard fee or rental

rental rate. The $4000 is just what we
require you to spend on drinks or food.
If you would like a straight rental rate,

options? <br>
ANSWER: Yes. Rates vary depending on the
size of your group. Our rates are among

7) Are you willing to do a different

different agreements, we will listen to
