<p>Hello folks. It will be recalled that at the tenth annual
e-trademarks listserv reception, which was on Tuesday, May 3, 2022
in Washington, DC, we prepared a poster. On the poster we listed
topics and suggestions for improvement of the Madrid Protocol
system administered by WIPO. During the reception, attendees had
the opportunity to sign the poster. We then gave the poster to
one of the WIPO people to take back to Geneva. We later learned
that the poster was put into a place of prominence in the WIPO
offices, and I prefer to think that surely at least some of the
topics and suggestions got attended to.</p>
<p>You can see the 2022 poster, and you can read about its arrival
in Geneva, <a
href="https://blog.oppedahl.com/nice-people-at-wipo-received-our-poster/">here</a>.</p>
<p>I looked over the poster and I think some of the topics and
suggestions are still outstanding. In fact the more I review it,
I think that quite a few of the topics and suggestions are still
outstanding. :(<br>
</p>
<p>Anyway, I think it would be a nice touch if we could work on
similar posters for this year's reception. </p>
<p>A first poster will list topics and suggestions for improvement
of USPTO's trademark processes and systems. Attendees who wish to
do so could sign that poster during the reception. Commissioner
Gooder has RSVP'd that he will attend, so I think we could offer
the signed poster to him to take back to his office. To submit a
topic or suggestion for this poster, click <a

Feel free to submit more than one topic or suggestion.<br>
</p>
<p>A second poster will list topics and suggestions for improvement
of WIPO's trademark processes and systems. Attendees who wish to
do so could sign that poster during the reception. We have an
RSVP from at least one of the WIPO Madrid people, so we could
offer the signed poster to him to take back to his office. To
submit a topic or suggestion for this poster, click <a

Feel free to submit more than one topic or suggestion.</p>
<p>We will need one or two listserv members to serve as volunteers
on this. A few days before the reception, we will turn off the
submission forms. And then we will need to work through the
submissions. We will need to edit the submissions, merging topics
as needed to minimize duplication. We will need to revise for
consistency of style and, perhaps, politeness and tone. Please if
you would like to volunteer for this, drop me a note. And then we
would print out the posters for display on easels at the
reception. Attendees could sign the posters, which you ought to
do as soon as possible after the reception starts. Then when one
or another of our honored guests arrives, we could greet the guest
and welcome him or her, and offer him or her the poster. My best
guess is we would not want to go into the substantive content of
the poster during the reception itself, other than very brief
recognition of the shared goals.<br>
