Several listserv members, it turns out, apparently served as beta
testers of the imminent Trademark Center system.

I'd be grateful if those listserv members can share with the rest
of us how it is with the character counts of various fields:

at least three street address fields

each street address field accommodating at least fifty
characters

a free-text field for non-US provinces and regions

a city field accommodating at least 30 characters

a docket number field of at least 25 characters.

Oh and by the way, maybe I missed it, but I do not recall
having seen even a hint or suggestion of the Commissioner asking
the membership of our listserv what, if anything, we think is
broken in TEAS that needs to be fixed in this new TC, nor do I
recall having seen even a hint or suggestion of the Commissioner
asking the membership of our listserv what new features, if any,
we wished to see added in this new TC.

in which Fifty-Four Trademark Practitioners wrote to
Commissioner Gooder on August 7, 2021 asking for some
improvements in TEAS, particularly in the area of
character-count limitations in various fields. In October of
2021, Commissioner Gooder promised that we would get all of our
"asks" from that letter. When the beta version gets released, I
am confident it will turn out that Commissioner Gooder will have
kept that promise.
US trademark application:

Trademark Center is coming soon
We’ve been working on Trademark Center, a new system
designed to improve your filing experience. This summer,
you’ll be able to use the beta version of Trademark Center
to apply to register your trademark.

You’ll have the option to apply to register your trademark
in either Trademark Center or the Trademark Electronic
Application System (TEAS) for six months. The cost to file
remains the same in both systems.

Given the disasters of Patent Center and Assignment Center, I
feel that I can predict with very high confidence that this
new "Trademark Center" will likewise be a disaster.
