<p>I wonder if somewhere in MyUSPTO it somehow knows I am an
attorney, and then maybe once Trademark Center sees that I am
logged in as an attorney, it eliminates the <i>pro se</i> click
path.</p>
<p>And if on the other hand the person who logs in at MyUSPTO is not
known to the system to be an attorney, maybe then it permits a <i>pro
se</i> click path.</p>
<p>I don't know any of this for real. I am just trying to guess
about it. <br>

desktop situation where I was helping somebody click

se</em> a few days from now. So our goal was to
click around in Trademark Center together and see what
the workflow is like.</p>
<p>I happened to be already logged in to MyUSPTO at the
time. And I clicked around to commence use of
Trademark Center. I was sharing my screen with the
would-be future <em>pro se</em> filer.</p>
<p>What jumped out at me was, it absolutely refused to
allow the session to move forward <em>pro se</em>.
It demanded that an attorney be identified for the
to-be-filed application.</p>
<p>Maybe others have more experience with Trademark
Center. Is there a way to use Trademark Center <em>pro
se</em>? <br>
<br>
Is it simply that I had already been logged in at
MyUSPTO? That was what made it impossible to proceed
<em>pro se</em>?</p>
