<p>It will be recalled that the Trademark Office has announced the
date that it will shut down the part of TEAS that is used for the
filing of trademark applications, namely January 18, 2025. I just
now took another look at USPTO's Trademark Center. I continue to
feel that TC is not ready for production use across the board. I
continue to feel that the only legitimate use for TC is as a
beta-test system. I continue to be astonished that so far as I
can see, nobody from the Trademark Office has engaged in
meaningful dialogue with the practitioner community on pesky
questions like what are the things that would have to change about
TC for it to replace the part of TEAS that is used for the filing
of trademark applications.</p>
<p>Anyway, here we are on December 3, with the announced shutdown of
TC a mere six weeks away, and still there is an adhesion-contract
check box on the second page of the TC workflow (quoted here).<br>

<p>I am aghast that a mere six weeks away from the planned shutdown
of TEAS, I am forced to "agree that if [I'm] unable to complete
[my] application in Trademark Center, [I] will use TEAS."<br>
