list for a while, you know that I have been fighting a
multi-year battle on a set of six certification applications
that were filed in September of 2021 (as use based
applications\u2026in use for several decades). Many of them were
approved for publication multiple times and then pulled and
returned for further examination. Many of them were lost in
some inter-department black holes for 6, 9, 12 months at a
time. Our colleague, Lara Pearson, even drafted an ode to
their journey, reproduced here for the list\u2019s amusement and
edification:</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>But better all this happen in just
one file</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Even though it's taking quite a while</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>It could be happening in multiple
cases</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>And then you'd have to see all those
client's disappointed faces </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Looking bewildered and perplexed</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Wondering what the PTO will do next</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Hopefully your client is patient and
kind</span></p>

lost its mind</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Rooting for you and hoping to provide
a laugh</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Cause what else can you do with the
PTO's gaffes?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Well, today, the journey is finally
over. The last 4 of the six achieved registration. The
client is thrilled, nay amazed, that this day has finally
come, as am I.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>And so, in honor of our friend and
resident poet, I offer the following Irish-ish blessing to
all of you</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>May your Office Actions be simple</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>May your Examiners be kind</span></p>
