employee has elected another earlier resignation date), unless the agency head determines that it is necessary for the employee to be actively engaged in transitioning job duties, in which case employees should be placed on administrative leave as soon as
those duties are transitioned.\u201d <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">So no lump sum, but the idea is that you\u2019d be on the payroll until September 30 (assuming the gov\u2019t has both the money and the authority to put people on paid administrative leave en masse like this), unless it\u2019s necessary to transition
