<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Hello,<div><br></div><div>I am hoping someone can suggest a strategy for getting the NY Sec. State to remove what looks like an imposter company, likely set up for fraud. Our client has an O in its name. The New York Secretary of State allowed a third party to incorporate under the identical, three-term name except a zero replaced the O. We have no evidence of wrongdoing, but this appears to be set up for fraud. It reminds me of fraudsters that set up deceiving domains, send imposter emails, and try to get wire payments to the imposter account.</div><div><br></div><div>I assume a demand letter will be ignored. I am not sure I have enough to file a lawsuit and would like to avoid the expense, time and hassle. </div><div><br></div><div>Any ideas?</div></div>
