<div dir="auto"><div dir="auto"><div>The trademark office generally does not close during a government shutdown, as they have a fair amount of money kept in reserve. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I was an examining attorney during the government shutdowns in 2018 and 2018-2019. The 2018-2019 shutdown, starting in December 2018, was the longest shutdown ever, at 35 days. A couple weeks into that one, the USPTO released a statement saying the trademark office could run through April.
