I noticed that as well this morning, but it doesn't really save the file "somewhere of its choice" (or at least didn't for me). The behavior seemed to be that the file was saved wherever the browser saves downloads (so either in some
default folder or the folder last used). Also, browser dependent, you should be able to click on a downloads button/link/menu in your browser and see latest downloads and the folder in which they reside.

I do agree that it is annoying to automatically save the file using the filename of PC's choosing.

Which brings me to another annoyance of PC and a feature request (being nice to not call it a bug). In EFS-Web, one could right click an efiling acknowledgement link and select "save link as" to choose a location and filename for the
receipt. Or one could right click on a link to open it in a new tab.

However, now, in PC right-clicking on many items of interest that you might want to save or open in a new tab merely brings up a useless contextual menu that does not include the option to save the file as something or to open the link
in a new tab.

And thank you Randall for the tip to print the filing receipt as a PDF.

(2) I have a document (Terminal Disclaimer) signed by the applicant using DocuSign. EFS-Web used to accept such document (with electronic signatures) with a warning about how the signatures might or might not be interpreted.
Patent Center will not allow upload of such a document. No warning or message is given -- the upload just freezes. I figured it out myself. I had to "flatten" it (by export to TIFF and then back into PDF) to get Patent Center to accept the document.
