<pre class="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">Bugs in Patent Center
(1) After filing something, Patent Center presents a receipt (in its crappy format) and a "Save as" button.
But the "Save as" does not give me a choice to name the file or say where it goes. When I select the "Save as" button, PC just saves the file somewhere of its choice. It is not a "save as," it is just a "save" somewhere there the PTO has decided to put the file with the useless name the PTO has decided to give the file.
(2) I have a document (Terminal Disclaimer) signed by the applicant using DocuSign. EFS-Web used to accept such document (with electronic signatures) with a warning about how the signatures might or might not be interpreted. Patent Center will not allow upload of such a document. No warning or message is given -- the upload just freezes. I figured it out myself. I had to "flatten" it (by export to TIFF and then back into PDF) to get Patent Center to accept the document.
