<p class="MsoNormal">In answer to your question about what is going on in the patent office, May I humbly submit the following

<p class="MsoNormal">A patent lawyer was walking down a beach in California, when he saw an old lamp.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">He picked up the lamp and rubbed it, and out popped a genie.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The genie then told him that he had one wish, and of the patent lawyer replied that he always loved to vacationing in Hawaii, but hated to fly on planes.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Therefore, he asked the genie if he could build a bridge between San Diego and Honolulu so that he could drive rather than having to fly.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The genie then responded that building a bridge so long and over such a deep ocean would be exceedingly difficult, and that it would require billions of tons of concrete and steel, and of course, the construction of dozens of gas stations
and hundreds of EV super chargers so that people could fuel up on the 2400 mile trip.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The patent lawyer considered this and then told the genie that he understood the problem,

<p class="MsoNormal"> A client’s patent issued today. I have not yet received an e-mail from the PTO indicating that the eGrant copy is available. So this evening first I downloaded a copy from freepatentsonline.com. Then I went into PatentCenter to see
if the eGrant was available. It was not. Or I am not navigating PatentCenter successfully.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> In the Patent Center application file, I did click on the link under the Patent # column to download the public access copy. Then I opened its properties window. The page size is 35.56 x 45.83 inches, about an E-size drawing. I went
to print it with no scaling or paper size choice, just 100%, and sure enough, the preview confirmed it. The free patents online copy is 8.5 x 11. Anyone know what the hell is going on with the PTO patent pdf?<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> And one more question. Is the PTO still sending a “ceremonial” paper copy via US Mail or is that over with?<o:p></o:p></p>
