Subject: Maybe progress on Patent Center catch-up for plant filings?

I know there are some members of the listserv whose daily work includes plant filings. Just now by chance I stumbled upon a place in one of the Patent Center click-paths that includes this notification:

Plant Follow on Application

You can initiate a follow on for your Plant application using the \u201cExisting submissions\u201d menu or activity card. Please continue to use the fee transmittal PTO/SB/17 for any fees that you would like to calculate and pay.
NOTE: DO NOT USE the Plant Non-Provisional option in the \u201cNew submissions\u201d menu or activity card. Please continue follow the COVID-19 Plant application filing procedure for filing Plant applications.

In typical USPTO software developer style, the notification is, of course, undated. So this might be old news.

But anyway, maybe what this means is that after half a year of dithering, the developers have managed to get the follow-on-submissions function working for plant filings.

Maybe one or another of our plant patent enthusiasts can tell me if this is old news or new news.
