    <p>I don't know about 'best'. To the best of my knowledge there's no
      specific USPTO rules addressing that question (someone may know
      better than I do). I always thought the primary role was one of
      'branding' (for you and the client) -- so the most important thing
      is a consistent use of whatever name. I will say I have often seen
      relatively major law firms (as well as many small ones) that use
      some sort of a trade name on the front of the patent.<br>
