For those who sometimes represent startups and small clients, another benefit of filing with RO/IB is that you can file without paying the fees and then send the client the link to pay the fees directly. The client has a month to pay the fees without any penalty.
The client will need to create a free WIPO account, but that's not much of a hurdle.</div>
