[E-trademarks] USPTO employee locator maze

Colleagues,

 

I don't have a need to contact managing attorneys of TM law offices often.
Today I needed to find such info to call a managing attorney.

 

I couldn't find a link to the USPTO employee locator from MyUSPTO to save my
life. Just couldn't, I tried and tried. It used to be easy. I figured I was
too dumb for this new portal and need to seek assistance. 

 

I called the number for the Trademark Office assistance center. Pressed the
number to talk to customer service. The guy who answered listened to my
question and said that he needed to transfer me to the Trademark Assistance
Center. Well, that's the number I called in the first place, but whatever. I
got transferred, presumably, to the trademark assistance center, pressed the
number for live assistance. Another rep asked for my name, asked to spell my
last name, asked for my phone and email (I declined, am I supposed to spell
my email on the phone?). I asked how I can find an employee locator in
MyUSPTO account as I am trying to locate the name and phone number of the
managing attorney of Law Office XXX.

 

The rep happily told me the name and number of the managing attorney I was
looking for. When I asked where this info was in the new MyUSPTO account,
the rep said she didn't know that, but I can always call and ask. Good to
know.

 

I called the number, the message said that this was such and such for a
different law office, but if I called to reach the managing attorney for Law
Office XXX, then the name and phone were different. I wrote down yet another
name and phone and finally was able to reach the correct managing attorney's
number. No one answered, as expected, I left a message.

 

I logged out of MyUSPTO and went to the old link through the USPTO.gov
portal employee search,  https://portal.uspto.gov/EmployeeSearch/, the link
worked and I pulled up all the employees of Law Office XXX I needed. The
thing is - now it is just a list without any indication who the managing
attorney is. If I didn't call and spent at least so many minutes on the
phone with the USPTO, I wouldn't be able to tell from the employee search
via the portal.

 

Is there a simpler way to look up a managing attorney of a law office?
Either from MyUSPTO or using any other minimally reasonable way??
