[E-trademarks] Fixing Assignment History

Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble figuring out the best way to correct assignments that were filed before I became attorney of record. I called the Assignments Division and they weren't any help.

Here is the history of assignments:

  1.  Company A assigns to Company B
  2.  Company B assigns to Company C
  3.  Company C changes name to Company D

Thus, the current owner is Company D. However, TSDR shows the current owner as being Company C. Unfortunately, when the assignments between A, B, and C happened, the attorneys filed assignments (1) and (2) with an execution/effective date after assignment 3. They should have been filed as nunc pro tunc assignments, but weren't.

Thus, this is what it TSDR shows:

  1.  Company C changes name to Company D
  2.  Company A assigns to Company B
  3.  Company B assigns to Company C

Any ideas on how to fix this mess?
