Hello,

Would you let a deadline pass without further action in this scenario /
other suggestions?

I have an appeal brief due date right after new years. I filed a first
request for extension last week, requesting 30 days due to press of other
business. TBMP 1203.02(d) suggests some extension will likely be granted.
TBMP 1203.02 ("If a request is found not to be sufficient to warrant an
extension, the Board may allow applicant a limited period of time, such as
ten days, in which to file the appeal brief, or may grant the requested
extension, but advise that no further extensions will be granted absent a
showing of extraordinary circumstances.")

I am concerned the TTAB will not grant or deny the requested extension due
to the holidays. Also, my experience has taught me the TTAB is
usually lenient/accommodating, especially for a first request.
