[E-trademarks] [EXT] Re: Application in Limbo

A propos of stuck things, we filed a request to divide in June, and the part with use has registered, under the original serial number but the PTO still have not processed the request to divide, so we have no serial number against which to file the extension of time to file the statement of use which is due in January.

We called the Examiner who offered to see if she could get them to push it, but although nice,  she was not able to promise anything. She said the requests to divide are taking a long time, but if they don't process them within 6 mos before your STU is due, what is the point?

Anyone else had this issue?

I seem to recall that happened to one of my cases and I was told that there was a batch of applications affected like that because of a glitch in the PTO systems I believe around February of 2024. I recall speaking to a LO Manager about that which I recall was in response to my email to either the examiner or the LO Manager about that.
