This is not a tm post but only IP attorneys would appreciate this story.
When my husband was a child, he and his siblings played a British board game called Air Charter which involves moving trade goods around Southeast Asia. It was invented by an RAF officer and published by Waddingtons.
A few years ago he found a copy on eBay so he bought it so he could play with our kids.
They broke it out yesterday and we discovered in the box what is clearly a draft of a patent application covering the game. Some of the pieces have “Fig. #” written on them. I searched online and it doesn’t look like the company ever got a patent on it but what a coincidence that we got this copy.
