[E-trademarks] New TESS bombing out

Just a follow-up for folk, but if you were contacted by Yuting Sun, that’s a legitimate reach-out by the USPTO’s UX and programming team.

Just got off a very short video call with them, ran them through the errors I’m hitting and gave them more data to work with. Hoping they can figure out what went wrong.  I think the more data we can give them to work with the better, so if they’ve reached out to you try to set up a meeting.

They did tell me that some users are able to clear their caches, hard refresh the page, and get around the dreaded UNKNOWN ERROR page. Hopefully that works for some folk.

Confirming you are not alone.  I’ve been holding back all day from expressing my incredible frustration.  It’s a second by second thing.  One part of a search works, and then the tool fails.  I’ve tried in both basic and expert.  It doesn’t matter.  And you can get a search result in basic and click on “live marks only” and the tool fails.

The tool is absolutely totally unreliable.

It would be nice if the PTO would let us know why this is happening and when this is going to be fixed once and for all.

Saw this several times yesterday when using a simple search, then revising it to change one term. Got a result for the first search, then got “Something went wrong” after changing one element of the search into something different. There was no formatting error, just a sudden error message.

Anybody else seeing this?  I have been getting errors whenever I try to search the new TESS.  Regardless of what menu options I select, I get the following:
