[E-trademarks] Searching dates

I can't find any reference that tells me how to search a date range. The 
Help page says unhelpfully "FD - Filing date - Contains the date the 
application was filed," but not the format for the number that might 
help for searching. The regex search instructions are only for the mark 
field. I can't find anything about the use of the greater than or lesser 
than symbols or other ways to give a date range. Does anyone have any 
hints? If it helps, I'm trying to find applications that were filed 
before a particular date.

I remember Carl's submission form for the toteboard had instructions, 
but alas the page is no longer available.
