Not sure that your search is what’s giving you that error message—I get similar messages all the time, sometimes for simple searches.

The advanced Help file says to use brackets and the TO operator:



Use [ TO ] to designate a range.

For example, RD:[2021-01-01 TO 2021-12-31] retrieves all marks with a registration date in 2021.



Don’t try the obvious idea of yyyymmdd-yyyymmdd. That blows up the search engine:

I can't find any reference that tells me how to search a date range. The Help page says unhelpfully "FD - Filing date - Contains the date the application was filed," but not the format for the number that might help for searching. The regex search instructions are only for the mark field. I can't find anything about the use of the greater than or lesser than symbols or other ways to give a date range. Does anyone have any hints? If it helps, I'm trying to find applications that were filed before a particular date.



I remember Carl's submission form for the toteboard had instructions, but alas the page is no longer available.
