slogans in the form "[verb] THE [adjective] BEAST," like Unleash the 
Beast, Unleash the Nitro Beast, and Rehab the Beast.

But why not, if you're Monster Energy? You gain a reputation as a 
litigant, therefore giving anyone pause who thinks of using MONSTER (or 
apparently now BEAST) for anything all all. You know the cost of your 
registration is going to include an opposition by the TTAB and few are 
going to elect that choice. There's no sanction at the TTAB, although in 
this case if it was federal court I think there would be a good basis 
for sanctions. Monster Energy has nothing to lose.
