I, too, knew of Nils Montan, but I did not know him. 

I am absolutely shocked to read about Jonathan Hudis, I can’t believe it. I had met him many times at the AIPLA meetings pre-TTAB, we have spoken many times, sat together and chatted at dinners and lunches. I have always enjoyed his company, discussing this and that. He and I occasionally corresponded on the trademark issues when I was stuck with something. I respected him deeply for his competence, knowledge and experience. I can’t believe this…
