[E-trademarks] DOFU when product is sold on POD basis via third party

Client sells printed journals with writing prompts on POD basis. Client’s orders are fulfilled by Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, so the buyer orders the journal and prints it out at home. AKDP just tells Client that someone purchased the product on x date; it doesn’t tell Client where that person lives. How do I determine DOFU? Just use x date? And would the date on which Client provided the journal template to AKDP be the date of first use anywhere?
(Please excuse me if we have already been through this.)
