[E-trademarks] FW: Proposed trademark fees changes for fiscal year 2025

Clients and potential clients sometimes ask me what it will cost to file
a US trademark application. My habit has been to quote the government
fee and to discuss a range of possible professional fees.
If and when this gouge goes into effect, I will be telling them the
government fee *including this $100 gouge fee*. And yes I will discuss
the usual range of possible professional fees.
It would burn up much more than $100 of my time to set a goal of
carrying out such close scrutiny as to supposedly reduce to zero the
risk of getting dinged for some real or imagined flaw in any of these
twenty areas of scrutiny.
