[E-trademarks] [EXT] Re: Trademark Center Beta

The prominent link for the new Trademark Center has been up for a while but the old TEAS form link has still been working and I just tried it again.

I have tried the new TC for the last several applications and one really long application my client was not able to sign when I sent them the signature link nor was I able to generate a signature page to upload. Then, earlier this week when TSDR was acting unstable, all of the draft applications I had in my TC “docket” had disappeared, literally. The docket said something like “no drafts have been saved” on the Drafts page. They came back when TSDR seemed to be working normally again yesterday, but my eggshell confidence in the Trademark Center is a lot more eggshell than confidence.

I’m going back to the TEAS forms that I know and love until forced to do otherwise.

You are not required to use the new application form in the Trademark Center (Beta), but I decided to give it a shot this morning.  I was waiting for the payment screen to finish processing and instead of getting the typical “Success” Page, I received a 500 Internal Server Error.  Based on experience, I’ll stay with the old application form until Trademark Center is out of the Beta phase.

I want to file a new trademark application today.   Do I have to use the new Beta form?

It looks like the USPTO updated the website to direct us to the Beta application form:     https://trademarkcenter.uspto.gov

How can I access the old form?    The one I know and love.
