[E-trademarks] How long for the PTO to act on Section 7 requests?

My guess is the delay is caused by the overall backlog in post-reg, which is the group that reviews the Section 7 requests.  As of November 13, 2024, post reg was working on Section 8 filings submitted as of March 8, 2024 (and Section 71 filings are on a slightly different backlogged timeline).

My experience with Section 7 amendments is that they are taking six or more months.  I cannot understand why this is happening since it is not affected by the increase in application filings.

I filed a Section 7 request back in early July that has not been acted on yet.   The PTO’s dashboard on trademark processing times doesn’t appear to include these requests.
