[E-trademarks] Unicode Character Watch: 99139646 满米 & 99139642 满米

Earlier this month, I noticed the following two new trademarks.

99139646 with  满米 as the wordmark, and

99139642 with 满米 as the wordmark.

Today, these two 16 April 2025 applications no longer have the UNKNOWN mark drawing code, so Pre-Exam has performed their initial processing of these new applications.  Both were given the 2 - AN ILLUSTRATION DRAWING WITHOUT ANY WORDS(S)/ LETTER(S) /NUMBER(S) mark drawing code with the 28.01.03 - Chinese characters; Japanese and Chinese characters; Japanese characters design code.  Consistent with the new mark drawing code entries, the wordmark entries were deleted.  So, while the wordmarks provided in the applications survived the initial electronic processing, those wordmarks did not survive Pre-Exam's processing.

Today, the search CM:( *满* *米* ) OR DE:( *满* *米* ) retrieves only one trademark, namely

98384496 with DIM SUM SAM as the wordmark and The English translation of 金满庭 in the mark is Gold Filled Palace as a translation statement, though the Asian characters did not appear in the registration certificate.

It looks like Pre-Exam is not interested in allowing characters like 满 or 米 in wordmark entries.  ;-(
