[E-trademarks] Silly question about what day the new PTO fees actually take effect

Or if they’ll have anybody around minding the store on a holiday weekend when TEAS goes away and glitches inevitably crop up in the new system.

The way I read the USPTO guidance on trademark fees, they will be effective whenever you log into Trademark Center on Saturday, Jan. 18..  And TEAS won’t be available any more then.   I wonder if they’ll have fixed the reported inability of Trademark Center to handle section 44(e) applications by then.

Hi list friends:

I know that the PTO says the fees become effective on January 18, which is a Saturday.

Does that matter? If so, do the changes take effect on Tuesday, since this weekend is a long holiday weekend with MLK Day (and some other thing) happening on Monday?

Overthink much? Yeah, me too.
