[E-trademarks] OFF TOPIC -- ethics complaint filed re: captitulating law firms (NY Bar)

Dear Mark --

I thought Lara's "we all have a stake in this" was enough to explain.
Here's Lara's chain of reasoning broken into finer steps.

1. Many of us on this list have substantial case loads with the government
on the opposite side of the "v."
2. The complaint that Lara circulated spells out (as a complaint does,
setting up the facts that it will be the complainant's burden to prove)
that President Trump has engaged in a "deliberate campaign to reach beyond
the legitimate powers of his office to “bend” (his word) [lawyers] to his
will through a combination of punish[ment], coerc[ion], and other forms of
intimidation."
3. Those of us that find ourselves regularly adverse to the government need
adjudications on our constitutional rights to represent our clients
zealously, and our ethical obligations to do so, even when the President
threatens punishment, coercion, and intimidation.

Now is "What ... this [has] to do with trademark law " a little clearer?
