[E-trademarks] ON HOLD - ELECTRONIC RECORD REVIEW REQUIRED - What does this mean?

Supposedly it is for QC review, but I have never gotten a satisfactory explanation from an examiner.  I had two applications get this status over the weekend.  Keep an eye on them-the last time this happened to me, the applications fell into a black hole for months before the process resumed.
