That blocking is because of how that person has their gmail set up. It is not an automatic property of gmail. I use gmail and do not have that issue.

Btw, Gmail often blocks delivery of emails that have political-based info and/or pictures (attached and embedded).

I’ve often sent (using Outlook) emails to a friend (who uses Gmail), which emails have links or copy and pasted information from a news story or an attached or embedded in the email body a meme with no additional comment/addition by me and the email he receives is either tagged and sent to spam OR delivered to his inbox with the information stripped therefrom (i.e., the email is blank)… despite my being in his contacts/whitelisted. When we discovered this had been happening, I then sent the same to his non-Gmail email account, and he received the emails without issue.

So, the lesson is that Big Brother Tech reads emails and censors us.

You’re telling me that Comcast is blocking emails that have “dis/misinformation” or “controversial” content?

Perhaps they mean the Domain Name System Blocklists (https://spa.xfinity.com/help/postmaster?faq=avoid-blocks-ipv4)? These are a greatly-appreciated service that keeps the absolute worst of the spam in check. But if there’s an internal Comcast system that’s sniffing around like some sort of mini-PRISM it’s frustrating.

Do you receive these via a Comcast account by any chance?

My personal e-mail is with Comcast, and I have experienced periodic blocking of all e-mails from one or more lists I subscribe to. When I called their security number and complained, the tech person I spoke with told me that they are automatically blocking e-mails where (some undisclosed entity or AI) has determined that the e-mail contains "controversial," "misleading" or "disinformation" etc. They say it is independent of any SPAM filtering and is "to protect Comcast's reputation" which is a laugh given that most people I know place their opinion lower than whale excrement in the Marianas trench and Comcast is merely the conduit for what is being sent.

I have not received email from this list in more than a month. After a few days of not receiving messages, I checked my spam folder…nothing there. Then I thought that maybe I had been unsubscribed accidentally, so I re-subscribed. Still no messages.

Messages from other lists (design, patent center, etc.) were coming in as usual. I concluded that there must be a problem with the trademark list specifically and that we would receive some kind of explanation from Carl. Nope.

Today I received a message, and it listed 321 entries, dating back to the date that I stopped receiving them – April 15. Clearly, other people have been sending and receiving messages from this list as usual.

Did anyone else experience this?

Kind regards,
