[E-trademarks] seven listserv members at the USPTO are gone

I have a crazier problem, though one that might be easier to solve.  Got a post-reg office action yesterday for a certification mark that was clearly intended for another file.  The examiner said that although the client indicated in the filing that the standards for a certification mark had not changed, there were no standards in the file, so we needed to send some in.  But my client indicated that its standards HAD changed and provided the new standards, which are plainly there in TSDR.  Less education required, thankfully, but yeesh.

I recently received
an OA that boggles my mind
indeed, indeed
it's in a Class 41 app
for online videos
where the Examiner seems
clearly not to know
that Class 38 is for streaming
like if you actually ARE YouTube
and 41 is for the videos
that we all release there, it's true
but evidence of branded YouTube videos was refused
because "we don't own the website"
so what am I to do
besides tell my client to shell out some more dough
so I can educate the Examiner on how this is to go

listserv member posts a posting, Mailman sends the posting via email to
each of the thousand or so listserv members.  The system keeps track of

Just now I received a report that today, seven people with "@uspto.gov<http://uspto.gov/>"
email addresses have been unsubscribed from the e-trademarks listserv.
The reason given is "disabled email address".  I recognize some of the
seven names as people (formerly) involved in trademark stuff at the
USPTO, some of them very high up in the Trademark Office.  They are
people I know slightly but not well enough to ask them what happened.

My suspicion is that most of them took the "fork in the road".
