[Patentcenter] EPAS Bug

We filed a new case yesterday.  We have a combined declaration/assignment form that we needed to file in EPAS the same date as filing to avoid having to pay a late fee for the declaration.  We do this often.  But this time EPAS said it was an invalid application number, even though we cut and pasted it from the e-filing receipt.  So we had to file the document directly in PatentCenter as a declaration only.  Today we were able to file the same document in EPAS as an assignment only.  It has happened to us twice now.  Most times the new application number is accepted without a problem. I don’t know how common this problem is or how to complain about it, but it was very annoying.
