When I do that to an ADS form in my copy of Acrobat Pro, the XML file is missing all of the content of the file! All I get is this:

<!-- Created from PDF via Acrobat SaveAsXML -->
<!--  Mapping Table version: 28-February-2003  -->
<TaggedPDF-doc>
<?xpacket begin='' id='W5M0MpCehiHzreSzNTczkc9d'?>

</rdf:Description>
</rdf:RDF>
</x:xmpmeta>
<?xpacket end="w"?>
<?xpacket end='r'?>
</TaggedPDF-doc>

Based on a few experiments, it seems to be related to the PDF being created by LiveCycle. If I print the LiveCycle-created ADS to another PDF, then export XML from that PDF, I get the full contents.

In my version of Acrobat it is under Tools > Export PDF > More Formats > XML > Export

I need to add domestic benefit data to an existing application data sheet (ADS).

In Adobe, I used to export the XML from the “forms” menu, edit the XML, and then import it.

But my current version of Adobe no longer has that menu option. Adobe seems to have taken away a lot of the functionality. Or I just cannot find it.

Any suggestions how to do this?
