[Patentcenter] EPAS Oddities - and Query

It will be a disaster if we cannot put in our docket number. Our staff person who saves the Notices of Recordation in the appropriate folders on the shared drive that are organized by docket number will now have to look up the application number of each Notice of Recordation to find the docket number before they can save it. This will be Fun Times for them.

Also, does anyone know if they are still generating the emailed receipt acknowledging that the assignment has been filed?

Best regards,

The training materials say the docket number can be inputted on the Correspondence information page. It is not there. That is one of many questions I asked AssignmentCenter at uspto.gov<mailto:AssignmentCenter at uspto.gov> yesterday. I am waiting to see if they respond.

So, when I filed my 1st Assignment in the new EPAS, I had an issue with the address, namely, I did not put a comma at the end of the street address (after the house number) as there was nothing following it on the street address line:

However, the review page showed a comma at the end of the street address line (which of course I could not edit out because it wasn’t there to begin with in the actual entry):

I submitted anyway, and the PDF of the cover page did not show a comma.

Guess we’ll see what the Notice of Recordation shows.

Also, did I miss the entry place for the Attorney Docket No.? It used to be at the end, before submitting, but I did not see an obvious spot to also add the attorney’s reference.

Thanks,
Anne
