[Patentcenter] Assignment tab maybe working again?

Also, this might have been discussed before but I discovered last week that for granted patents, if someone recorded the assignment using the “application” number and didn’t use the Patent No. (because it was not issued yet, or they were just being lazy) when you go to search for an assignment, it will NOT reveal the assignments you recorded on that app no. if you searched using the patent number.  Meaning, even though you are looking under the patent no. for a particular assignment, if it was only recorded using the app. no. it will NOT show up by searching under the patent number.
To get all of the assignments for one matter to show up (since recordals were done during pendency AND after issue – in some cases) I had to search using the app. no. in the assignment search AND USING the patent no. You don’t get a comprehensive list of assignment recordals by merely searching using the patent number or the app. BOTH have to be used to search one at a time.

The USPTO has quietly changed the opening banner for Patent Center in the place where they talk about the Assignments tab.

Previously it said the assignments tab was turned off because of their security mistake in coding the assignments tab, and you would have to file a special form to get the abstract of title inserted into the IFW.  But that's changed.  Now it says:

When assignment information is available for non-public applications, Patent Center displays the abstract of title. However, assignee and assignor hyperlinks are not made available. By clicking the reel & frame hyperlink, instructions will be displayed on how to order copies of assignment records from the Certified Copy Center. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to strengthen your customer experience.

This paragraph does not quite say "folks, we fixed our previous security mistake and now the assignments tab works again".  It seems to hint that maybe for some applications the assignments tab sort of works.

I clicked around in a few of my not-yet-published cases where I know there ought to be information in the assignments tab, and the few files I spot-checked still have a completely useless assignments tab, wrongly saying there is no assignment information when I know there ought to be.  But maybe the assignments tab is working for some other listserv members?
