[Patentpractice] Provisional Application Numbers?

Mine appear to be in order, but relative to your numbers I filed one in early January and its serial number is 63/614,xxx

Another one filed in mid-February is 63/627,xxx

Subject: [Patentpractice] Provisional Application Numbers?
Has anyone else noticed that provisional application numbers are not sequentially in order?

Prov 1, filed in January is 63/625###.

Prov 2, filed the next day in January is 63/557###.

Prov 3, filed a full month after Prov 2 is only 10 digits greater than Prov 2.

A client has asked about this, so I wonder if anyone in the group knows why the numbers are not in order. All three applications were electronically filed by the same paralegal sponsored by the same practitioner, and with the same PTO customer number.
