Ooops, not sure what happened there. Here is the text I meant to send.
Dear [Client],
Attached, a missive from the Patent Office's door,
Explains a breach of data, a worry to explore.
Our assessment: minimal risk, we find no fear,
Nothing can be done; the issue's now unclear.
A bug in software caused the breach, they say,
Unintended exposure of patent applications' way.
The PTO describes it thus: small scope, indeed,
Exposure limited to serial numbers and titles freed.
Not content disclosed, but metadata's the test,
No records kept of who looked, nor what was best.
The breach opened February 5, closed March 29's gate,
Testing detected error on the eve of fate.
The PTO claims commitment to data security's creed,
Yet this is not the first such breach in recent need.
Harm may arise if titles reveal invention's core,
Specific compounds and treatment indications galore.
If you suspect harm from title disclosure's sting,
The USPTO offers aid, confirming error's ring.
Sincerely, [Your Name]
