[Patentpractice] Let's try to collect all of our Assignment Center bugs

In addition to some of the other things mentioned by others, I wish the assignment center would issue a receipt for an assignment submission rather than sending an email. I also miss being able to use my saved templates, especially when you might have complicated name or address spellings, and/or repeated assignments with the same assignors or assignees. I used to prepare and save the assignment submission, sending the attorney a link to the submission for their review and signature. I figured out the wonkiness with the cover sheet information so it reads correctly when the recordation is issued, but I find that the new submission steps 1) treat me like I don’t know what an assignment is or how to complete the assignment submission, and 2) take almost twice as long to prepare and file due to the step-by-step multi-page submission process. Also, why can’t we drag and drop the assignment to attach the document instead of having to retrieve it?
Lastly, the delay between filing a new application and being able to record an assignment in that new application has grown. In EPAS, it would sometimes be only a few minutes (if at all), but now it can be several days before the application number is recognized.
Thank you,
Judi

I imagine some may have read my blog article from yesterday entitled USPTO fails to let me know that it fixed a defect that I reported in Assignment Center<https://blog.oppedahl.com/uspto-fails-to-let-me-know-that-it-fixed-a-defect-that-i-reported-in-assignment-center/>.
I am not exactly sure whether yesterday's blog post had anything to do with it, but just now a phone call came in from a person who answers to Joyce R. Johnson, who is the manager of the Assignment Branch. He has offered to spend some time with me reviewing the various defects in Assignment Center.
This strikes me as a perfect time to try to collect in one place all of our Assignment Center bugs.
I guess maybe post them to this listserv, and I will try as best I can to collect them for the discussion with this fellow.
Oh and I guess the other thing is, it would be good to get at least one more person from the patent community involved in the discussion, for a lot of reasons. Volunteers welcome.
Carl
