[Patentpractice] USPTO employees offered buyouts to retire early to avoid having to return to the office

Thank you for posting.  Yes the January 24 memo from Department of 
Commerce is interesting.  Yes, it contains those words "This memorandum 
does not apply to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ...".  The way I 
interpret those words is:

    Yes the USPTO is part of the Department of Commerce, and yes the
    Trump executive order that tries to eliminate work-from-home will
    turn everything upside-down at the USPTO, but if you want to know
    exactly what the upside-down effect will be at the USPTO, you will
    have to look somewhere other than this January 24 memo from the
    Department of Commerce.

This is why I did not post this this January 24 memo from the Department 
of Commerce to my blog.
