[Patentpractice] AIPLA economic survey.

I appreciate your reminder about the AIPLA economic survey. About a week or so ago, I spent some time with the proctor of the survey to provide a bit of feedback. Like you and others, I value the survey and hope that many practitioners take about an hour to thoughtfully complete the survey with robust data indicative of current practices (primarily centered around cost of services.)

Your email is helpful as there’s apparently a survey option for those who are not members of AIPLA. Personally, I plan to circulate your links below with the reminder to many practitioner friends and colleagues hopefully to significantly increase feedback. (I’d also like to get more involved in AIPLA, but that’s a different aspiration for a different day.)

Hello all,

I know a number of people and firms who are not necessarily regular AIPLA members use the AIPLA economic survey for various things. The survey is only as good as the data it collects, particularly when it comes to sample size.   So, if you like using the survey, now is your chance to help it get good data.  They have surveys for both individuals and firms.  If you are an AIPLA member, you should have received an email with a personalize link.   If you are not a member and want to help makes sure there is a good data set,  here are some links with a note from the survey people

For people accessing the survey this way, their progress will save, but only if they click to the next page. So, for example, someone would want to complete a page, click to the next, and exit the survey if they have run out of time. When they return, they must use the same computer/browser and the next blank page will appear for them. If they complete a page and click out of the survey without advancing to the next page, the survey responses will be lost.
