Big problem now considering that most post offices close by 6 PM in the DC area... and now no more drop window.

So WTF happens when PatentCrapper doesn't work...

Oh, yeah, sure they will say one can fax... but fax is limited and also likely internet based which means if the USPTO systems are down, so are their faxes.

Sure, the USPTO will say after the fact that it is setting aside certain date requirements...

But...

The USPTO Customer Service Window has been open until midnight Monday-Friday for at least 40 years that I know of.  Not anymore.  Effective today 09/30/2025, they will close at 5:00 pm.  The notice is dated today 09/30/2025.  Nothing like a little advance notice.
