Hello Again,
At least one list-member asked me to share the recommendations I have received.
So in NO particular order [I am only the copy-and-paste conduit], please see below. At FIRST blush, they all look excellent - I have not vetted anything beyond "first blush," but it looks like my currently challenge is now deciding BETWEENmultiple good options.
This is why I emailed this list in the first place.
FINAL NOTE - I am not 100% at cut-and-paste - if I left out any recommendation, it is only due to a clerical oversight.
Cheers (and THANK you to those who took the time to respond)Bill
RECOMMENDATIONS (in NO particular order!! I promise) -->
(A) Robert Watson of Mewburn Ellis
at Mewburn Ellis for 28 years, and work almost exclusively in the pharma field. p.s, I worked with Carl on PCT roadshows with AIPLA many years ago, hence being a member of this listserv.
(B) Someone from a large USA firm that I personally respect wrote --> highly recommend Tom Wittop Koning, Biopatents tom at biopatents.nl
(C) Someone from England wrote
I strongly recommend Dr Mark Gibson of Sagittarius IP
(D) Another user wrote -->
I'm in a private group on LinkedIn specialising in small firms and solo practitioners. Lucy Padget of Alembia IP is a member and has been beyond helpful when I've had enquiries about things that are little more chem/pharma than I'm comfortable with. She's highly approachable and straightforward.
Lucy was senior patent director at Astrazenca, so she really knows her stuff, but now runs a small firm of her own. All her contact details are on her LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucypadget/ (E)
We use David Hobson at Mathys & Squire for a large chunk of our life sci work. djhobson at mathys-squire.com
The “extremely knowledgeable + down-to-earth/approachable” is why I thought of David.

We’ve had a good relationship with Budde Schou A/S, a medium size IP firm in Copenhagen. We don’t do pharma, so the EP attorneys we deal with there don’t have that expertise, but they have about a dozen or so EP Patent attorneys, and it’s likely one or more has pharma expertise. You can contact Jesper Wenzel, jw at buddeschou.dk. He’s in the management of the firm.

I work quite a bit with Dr. Alvaro Remus in Duesseldorf, Germany who would be, I think, a very good fit.

I practice in the computer and electrical arts, not pharma, but I know Jens Viktor Nørgaard at HØIBERG in Denmark. I use other patent attorneys at HØIBERG, and I have been very happy with their work. The firm may be bigger than you are looking for, but they do good work and are well regarded. Everyone that I have interacted with there is knowledgeable, down to earth, and approachable. If Jens is not a good match for you, perhaps he can recommend someone else at the firm or at another firm. Good luck.
