FYI: For #2 below, in group 2878, we paid issue fee on 1/3 and the issue notification indicated that patent will issue 2/13. That’s the quickest patent issuance I can recall. I practice mostly in Group 1600 and for 1600, it has not been that quick a turn around.

Subject: [Pct] USPTO - Slower than usual
What has gotten into the USPTO?
To name just a few, I am running into the following problems:
1) Application has been filed and still 4+ months later, no filing receipt issued.
2) Issue fee paid and still 2+ months no Issue Notification issued.
3) Other times an issue notification is issued, but the date for the letters patent to issue has past and still not showing up in file wrapper.
4) Several PCT applications filed, and 6 months later, they are still under secrecy review.
Has the USPTO laid people off, or have people up and quit, or what else is the USPTO’s problem?
When I have called, all I get is a call reference number.
