     We now have about FIFTY signatures - thank you to all who have 
already signed. *If you haven't yet done so and a re willing to, PLEASE 
do soon, it takes less than a minute to do so (and that is _my_ informed 
estimate, not a PTO estimate!) - this needs to go out tomorrow.*  Also, 
if you have any colleagues who may not be on this listserv and may be 
willing to sign, please ask them if they will sign.  The more signatures 
we get, the better.
